Product description

This fine, white powder is valued in the cosmetics and skincare industries for its ability to absorb excess oil and impurities from the skin. For this reason, it is often found in face masks and cleansing products, where it helps to clarify and detoxify the skin while leaving the skin soft and supple.
However, the use of kaolin is not limited to the cosmetic world. It is also used in the pharmaceutical industry for the manufacture of medicines, as well as in the manufacture of ceramics and paper. Its moisture-wicking properties and long history of use in a variety of applications make kaolin an extremely versatile mineral. Kaolin is even consumed in some cultures, where it is reputed to relieve nausea.

Sample recipe

Homemade face mask

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons kaolin
1 tablespoon plain yogurt
1 teaspoon of honey
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 drop of lavender oil (optional)

Directions:
Mix kaolin, natural yoghurt and honey in a bowl until smooth.
Add lemon juice and mix well. If desired, add a drop of lavender oil and mix again.
Apply the mask to the face, avoiding the eye and lip area.
Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Hydrate the skin with your usual moisturizer.

This mask is ideal for oily to combination skin as kaolin absorbs excess sebum while leaving skin soft and smooth. Natural yoghurt is rich in lactic acid, which gently exfoliates the skin and stimulates cell renewal. Honey is an excellent moisturizing and antibacterial ingredient, while fresh lemon juice is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants that help brighten and even out the complexion.

Important instructions

Storage: Kaolin should be stored in a dry place in a well-sealed container to prevent moisture ingress.

Do not inhale: Kaolin powder should not be inhaled as it may cause respiratory irritation. When working with larger quantities of kaolin powder, always use a protective mask or respirator to prevent inhalation of dust particles.

Skin protection: Do not apply kaolin directly to the skin in large amounts as this can cause excessive dryness and skin irritation. In case of skin contact, you should rinse the affected area thoroughly with water.

No Contaminants: Do not mix kaolin with harmful contaminants such as heavy metals or chemicals as it may be hazardous to health. Make sure the kaolin powder is of high quality and free from contamination.

Pay attention to the expiration date: Do not use expired or contaminated kaolin that has been contaminated by bacteria or other pathogens as this can cause skin infections or other health problems.

Medical Advice: Before using kaolin internally, it is important to consult a medical professional as it may interact with certain medications or cause adverse health effects. Internal use should always be under medical supervision.
